Tomlin and Kaylin, Thomas’s children, taught us what “good morning” means in Shona the night before: Mangwanani! Another 24 hours, and then we’re off to Zambia.

Small but nice. Unlike Insika Lodge, Tabokana House is located directly in Victoria Falls. Fortunately, the manager played along with our rebooking and accepted that we stayed one night less than planned.

Once again, it’s time to relax a little and process our impressions of Chobe National Park. Thus we only meet up after midday for more adventures of a special kind.

We are taken to the “Lookout Café”, which is located directly at the Zambezi Gorge. Here one can simply chill out and enjoy or experience an adrenaline surge nearby. None of us want to try bunjee jumping, but the zip line has its fans: 425 metres of rapid gliding along a steel cable diagonally across the gorge. At 106 km/h, it was so fast that I chose to remain a clapping spectator.

Later, quite some contrast! We visit the “Big Baobab Tree” just outside the city gates. Just a short quiz: Is the baobab tree 250, 500 or more than 1,000 years old?
